Селекцията за стипендианти през учебните 2016-2018г., 2017-2019 г. и 2018 -2020г. 2019 - 2021г. се проведоха съответно през февруари, като включваха следните 3 кръга:

1. Подаване на апликация: попълнена апликационна форма, оценки, материали от извънкласни дейности и т.н.
2. Тестове по предмети и есе
3. Селекционен ден: групови и индивидуални интервюта

Селекционният ден представлява поредица от групови и индивидуални интервюта на кандидатите, стигнали до финала, които се провеждат от панел от бивши ученици на Колежите на Обединения Свят.

Различните компоненти на процеса бяха оценявани със следните тежести:

• Формуляр за кандидатстване 15%
• Тестове  20%
• Есе 15%,
• Групова задача 25%,
• Интервю 25%

Селекция 2023

Ситуация: Ти отговаряш за сметката с пари за дребни разходи на офиса, в който работиш. Всяка седмица твой колега ходи до банката, където тегли пари от тази сметка и ги носи обратно в офиса, където да бъдат похарчени.

Един ден ти и твоят колега се срещате с общия ви шеф, който ви пита дали увеличението на парите в сметката е достатъчно за офиса. Ти обаче не знаеш нищо за такова увеличение и осъзнаваш, че твоят колега го взима за себе си.

Въпроси: Какво ще направиш в тази ситуация?

Ще кажеш на шефа си, че не знаеш за увеличението и че подозираш колегата си в кражба?

Ще споделиш подозренията си с твоя колега и ще му дадеш възможност да върне парите?

Ще си замълчиш и ще изчакаш развитие на събитията?

 The Oxford Word of the Year 2018 is… toxic. The adjective toxic is defined as ‘poisonous’ and first appeared in English in the mid-seventeenth century from the medieval Latin toxicus, meaning ‘poisoned’ or ‘imbued with poison’. Why was toxic chosen as Word of the Year? The Oxford Word of the Year is a word or expression that is judged to reflect the ethos, mood, or preoccupations of the passing year, and have lasting potential as a term of cultural significance. Our data shows that, along with a 45% rise in the number of times it has been looked up on oxforddictionaries.com, over the last year the word toxic has been used in an array of contexts, both in its literal and more metaphorical senses.

"Capital punishment was one of the classical Five Punishments of China's dynastic period. In Chinese philosophy, capital punishment was supported by the Legalists, but its application was tempered by the Confucianists, who preferred rehabilitation and mercy over capital punishment. Confucius did not oppose capital punishment absolutely, but did take the view that in a well-ordered society based on moral persuasion, capital punishment would become unnecessary.
